The “Level 2” CDC advisory urges travelers to “practice enhanced precautions” due to a “circulating poliovirus” affecting popular destinations such as Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

Some international destinations have circulating poliovirus (listed below and shown in map).
The list of countries in the THN is informed by the latest global epidemiological data and used to make recommendations regarding required measures to support polio eradication. This list is comprised of countries that have detected poliovirus in humans or environmental samples in the past 13 months.
Before any international travel, make sure you are up to date on your polio vaccines.

Global Entry program restored as DHS shutdown continues

The Global Entry travel program has been restored, the Trump administration said Wednesday, after it was paused in February amid the Department of Homeland Security shutdown .

The partial shutdown has been in effect since Feb. 14 after lawmakers failed to reach a deal on DHS funding . Democrats have demanded changes to the agency in the wake of the fatal shootings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti by federal immigration agents in Minneapolis.

The shutdown is affecting the TSA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Coast Guard, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency and other agencies within DHS. About 13% of the total federal civilian workforce is affected.

Brussels Airport (BRU) will close to departing flights on Thursday, March 12, according to an advisory posted on the airport's website.

What does this mean for my flight?

To ensure the safety of passengers and staff, we have decided, in consultation with the airlines, not to operate any departing flights on 12 March. In the upcoming days, the airlines will contact passengers directly to inform them of their options.

Arriving passenger flights

As departing passenger flights are cancelled, cancellations of some arriving flights are possible.

Public transport

Avoid the Lines: Register Online with the EU’s Entry/Exit System (EES)

If you're heading to Europe, specifically the Netherlands soon, there's a new travel update you’ll want to know about, to avoid the longer lines at EU airports, it’s called the Entry/Exit System (EES). The program was rolled out on October 12, 2025, at the external borders of Schengen Area countries. This new system is designed to modernize border control by automating the registration of non-EU travelers entering and exiting the Schengen Area. It is expected to be fully operational by April 2026. Read more details about the EES on the website of the European Union

What Is the EES?

Eventually, this system will replace the passport stamps you currently receive at border control. The EES records:

When your short stay in the Schengen Area begins and ends
Where and when you enter or leave the Schengen Area

Why Register Online?

While travelers will still be registered at the border, online registration is faster and helps you avoid delays. If you don’t register online, your information will be captured upon departure, but this takes additional time. Here is the online EES registration form .

Who Can Register Online?

You can register online once your regular residence permit is valid for less than 28 days.
To register, you’ll need:

A DigiD account with SMS verification
Access to the online EES registration form
No payment, registration is free

Once submitted, you’ll receive an email from the IND within minutes confirming whether your request was approved.

Approved? You’re officially registered and can check your stay details via the website of the European Union .
Not approved? You’ll still be registered at the border, but expect a longer wait.

How to Request High-Risk Travel: A Step-by-Step Guide

Traveling to high-risk destinations requires extra precautions to keep you safe and compliant. Here’s everything you need to know before booking your trip.

1. Check If Your Destination Is High-Risk

Review the current NIKE, Inc. business travel destination risk ratings here . Trips that are not safe will need to be postponed or cancelled. Travel booked without approval is subject to cancellation.

2. Submit a Global Travel Authorization Request

All travelers representing NIKE, Inc. (employees, contractors, and external workforce) must complete a Global Travel Authorization request via TravelReady .
Submit your request at least 14 calendar days before your intended departure date .
To submit a high-risk travel request, login to TravelReady and submit your travel plans for approval (instructions can be found here ).

3. Wait for Approval Before Booking

Travel may only be booked after formal approval of your request.
Once approved, you’ll receive a confirmation email with instructions to proceed.
Contact your local BCD Travel team to finalize your booking. Do not use third-party sites—these are not reimbursable and may lack support.

4. Prepare Your Travel Profile

Ensure your Concur profile is complete:
Mobile phone number
Emergency contact
Corporate credit card details
Download the Concur mobile app for easy access and updates. Available for FTE only.

Concur Travel is launching a new, consumer-grade user interface. This upgrade will feature robust content, smart solutions, and a more productive booking process.

Updates begin Tuesday, December 3, 2024, and will be activated around the globe in the coming months!

Faster and More Intuitive Searches

Concur has reduced the number of clicks throughout the booking experience, streamlining a faster and more efficient process.
Air Search will offer an omni-search capability that merges options for locations, including Nike HQ, airports, and city centers.

Modernized Look

Results will consolidate key details into one view, making browsing content seamless and intuitive. Details include class of service, seat maps, and refunds.
Emissions calculations and certified sustainable choices will now be prominently displayed.
The mobile app has been redesigned to mimic the desktop experience, ensuring easy booking, no matter the interface you use.

To Add Nike Travel Messenger to Slack:

Step 1: Open Slack and select +Add Apps at the bottom of the purple channel list.

Step 3: Type in Nike Travel Messenger into the search bar and click on the app from the list that populates.

We ask that you take a moment to ensure your Nike Travel profile information * is accurate and complete in Concur. Most importantly, be sure your business and mobile phone are correct in your online travel profile.

Upon calling in to make your travel arrangements, BCD’s new phone enhancements will utilize the phone number in your Concur profile to best serve you! When you dial in from either your business or mobile number, your client name, profile, and trip information will automatically be displayed to your agent as you are being connected.

Are you a travel arranger or booker?

First, make sure your travel profile is complete. This needs to be completed before you can book on behalf of someone else.

Next, please ensure the individual you are booking for lists you as the "Admin" in the "Company Information" section of their profile. This is in addition to your name being listed in the "Assistants and Travel Arranger" section.

Why accurate Nike Travel profile information matters:

The new BCD Travel platform uses information in your profile, including your email address and unique business phone/cell number, to route you to the next available agent. When possible, you will be connected with the last agent who assisted you.

If your information is not updated, you will be required to go through several phone prompts to direct you to the right Nike Travel agent.

New Feature!

The new services will also allow travelers to request a call back if they are experiencing high call volume.

We've launched a new training module that will highlight updated changes to this policy that must be understood and applied by both managers and employees.
